Get Ready for Spring Riding

As February draws to a close, Spring, with the promise of better weather and warmer temperatures, gets closer. If you haven’t been on your ElliptiGO since late fall, consider bringing the GO down to your local bicycle shop to have them give it a tune-up. You'll want to make sure the cables are functioning correctly, all bolts are securely fastened, and that the chain is lubed and ready for smooth riding. Even better, if you have been lucky enough to ride outside through the winter, it's a really good idea to take the bike down to your local store for a tune-up or at the very least give it a thorough cleaning to get the salt, sand, and road debris off and help keep your ElliptiGO running smoothly.

If you have been enduring the pains of winter indoors on a trainer, it would be a good idea to check out your tires prior to jumping on the road again. Although your ElliptiGO tires are good for several thousand miles, if you have been riding all year plus using the indoor trainer heavily, it may be time for replacements. Take a good look at both tires, but especially the rear for any excess wear or sidewall damage. You want to make sure before you start commuting or training outdoors again that you do not wind up with a flat due to a worn rear tire. Many times, if just the back tire is worn, you can simply rotate your front tire to the rear and just get one replacement tire instead of buying two new ones.

If you do need to purchase a new tire, we offer them on our webstore or your local ElliptiGO/Bicycle retailer will be able to assist you.

Remember to pump up your tires to 85-90 PSI before every ride to keep the tires performing optimally and to reduce your chance of a flat tire. And if you have any questions or concerns, please contact our customer service department at service@elliptigo.com. We're happy to help you have the best riding experience possible.

Happy Riding!

Morning ride at Ottawa wildlife refuge

It was an awesome morning for riding at Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge. Fresh tracks in the snow and plenty of challenging beach riding.

Saturday at Castalia quarry

Scott, Jeremy, Jeff, Brad and I all made it out to Castalia quarry last Saturday afternoon for a quick ride.

Not a whole lot of trail but some of it is quite technical and the scenery is spectacular.
